I went to my second cutting practice on Saturday, yesterday. Tom came along and tried to take some pictures. The light isn't good and we need to try some other settings on the camera but we did get a few pictures. Here are from left to right Kacee, Fran, Charmain, and me. I am riding Acey a very experienced cutting mare who is 21 years old and still loves to work those cows. Many times the reason a cow doesn't get away is her action not mine. She is great to learn on.
My goal was to keep with the cow and this time make the long runs and turns. I did it without falling off but some of my turns were quite knarley! (translation- difficult and almost disastrous) Now I have some more refinements to work on.
