July has turned out to be a month of company. Tom's mother came for the 4th of July weekend. It was fun to have her meet many of our friends at the BBQ we held that evening.
Two weeks later our son, Devon and his wife,Nikki, and two sons, Cole 8 and Tate 4, came to visit. They enjoyed riding the horses and driving the mini around in the pony cart. We took them to the High Desert Museum where they liked seeing the birds of prey and the desert animals the most. One night Kim, our daughter, brought the girls over and we had a cousins slumber party. It can get pretty wild with four kids ages 8 to 2 running around until almost midnight. However, that is what memories are made of.
In another two weeks Tom's sister,Grace, husband, Walt, will be bringing four of their grandchildren over to the ranch. It will be more horse riding and cart driving and lots of running in the sprinklers and giggling.
What a great summer it is turning out to be.
We have made reservations to stay in Bullhead City, AZ for three months next winter. It takes 800 miles off of what a trip to Casa Grande, AZ would be. The cost of fuel is affecting everything I guess. If any of you will be going through there email us and let's meet for a visit. We will be there Jan, Feb and Mar. We may go to New Mexico for April if spring is as cold and as long in coming to Central Oregon as it was this past year.
