Christmas dinner was a chance to meet new friends. We sat in tables of 10 to 12 people and each couple brought part of the meal. We brought sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top and cranberry sauce. The couple that fixed the turkey roasted it very moist and tender. Couples at our table were from Michigan and Canada.
We have met many people here from Canada, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. I think the Canadians almost out number the Americans here.
Friday after Christmas we went to the Mesa Swap Meet. It is held every Thursday thru Sunday during the winter in Mesa, AZ. It is held in three long buildings amounting about 2 miles of ships. We were there for about 3 hours and I found some nice Navaho silver and turquoise jewelry for very reasonable prices.
I shot these Arizona sunset pictures through our dirty car window as we were on the way home to our RV in Casa Grande. The weather here has been unseasonably cold this past week. It was 28 degrees on Thursday and our water line froze up but we were able to thaw it before it caused any problems. Today, Monday, it has been very windy and rainy. Everyone is staying inside. I have had time to read five books since we arrived here. The weather is to be showers tomorrow and then up to the regular temps of low 40s at night and mid 60s in the daytime.
Your park Christmas dinner looked like a big success.
